Let’s talk
about you and me

As the scenes from Kabul and on the Afghan-Pakistani border grow more terrifying, and the number of people killed in the airport bombings continues to rise, I wonder if our world leaders still believe they have made the right decision to have.

That reminds me of Prince Metternich, who said: “The greatest gift of every statesman is not to know which concessions to make, but to recognize when to make them”.

Had President Biden had this ability, we might not see the collapse of Afghanistan, the displacement of the population, and the establishment of a government deemed so dangerous that only overthrowing it can keep world peace.

About me

I was born in 1966 and graduated from the Jesuit College in St. Blasien. Following my basic military service, I successfully completed a master’s degree in Eastern and Medieval History at the universities of Tübingen, Heidelberg and Munich. In the years that followed, I worked in the press and public relations and sales support departments of several corporate groups. To acquire another additional qualification, I later took a two-year Master’s programme at the University of Leipzig and Moscow’s MGIMO University in international energy economics. From 2016 to 2019, I was a member of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg and served as spokesperson for interior and police policy. Since 2019, I have been a Member of the European Parliament. In addition, I am involved as a reserve officer in the German Armed Forces.
